Bury Reds U12s beat Sumners in a nail-biting finale that saw both teams go to extra time at the recent Ware Football Tournament.
With a 0-0 full time score, play extended into extra time, with nothing between the two teams.
Going to penalties, Bury keeper James Church kept hopes alive with a fantastic save on Sumners first effort, with Ethan Goodwin and Keane Long from Bury responding brilliantly by both firing past the opposition keeper.
With pressure mounting, Bury's Joe Veryard stepped up to score the winning goal and seal the victory.
Discussing the win, Rob Veryard, manager of the U12s said: "It was a hard fought victory on a scorching hot day which was thoroughly deserved and a good end to a very satisfying season for the U12s."
U12s Reds, Whites and Stripes will be playing in the Buntingford Tournament weekend of June 9th.
